Will iPhone 5 have 4G connectivity?

With details about the release of the fifth generation iPhone set to be released over the coming weeks many are wondering whether the device will come with 4G connectivity.

Earlier this year saw technology giant Apple release its long awaited iPad 2 tablet, and many people thought that the Verizon models would come with 4G connectivity, which is something that is becoming more important to a rising number of people. It therefore came as a surprise and disappointment to many when it was found that this was not the case and it only came with 3G connectivity.

According to reports Apple is set to release details about the launch of its fifth generation iPhone, the iPhone 5, over the coming weeks, and many are now wondering whether this device will have 4G connectivity or not. Some officials are now wondering whether consumers will find it acceptable for the iPhone 5 to be released with only 3G connectivity rather than 4G connectivity, and whether they would base their decision on whether to get the device on this.

According to one report Apple needs to make sure that the iPhone 5 has 4G connectivity given the rising number of smart phones that do have 4G that are coming onto the market. Many are hoping that Apple will offer a model that will connect to the various 4G networks offered by the likes of Verizon and Sprint.

It is also under speculation whether, if the device does come with 4G connectivity, Apple can overcome the problem of a short battery life, which is the downside of having 4G on your smart phone.
